The tour of the facilities has been accompanied by the director of the plant, María Luz Sánchez, the deputy mayor of the City of Navia Mari Cruz Fernández and Gonzalo Asenjo, and the director of the Industry Area of the Government Delegation, Gonzalo Mesa.

Losa has highlighted the importance of the biofactory in the economic dynamization of Navia and the rest of Asturias, since its activity generates 6,900 jobs directly and indirectly: “Ence is an example of the Asturias we want, generating wealth by taking advantage of our natural resources and always betting on research and development of clean energies.” And it has influenced the possibilities that the company has to take advantage of the resources of the decarbonization PERTE recently approved by the Government of Spain.
The delegate of the Government recalled that in the last three years, the Government of Spain has granted 7.1 million euros in aid to the Asturian factory of Ence from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
