Teruel.- The Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, through the Special Employment Plan for Aragon 2026, allocates a total of 192,188.61 euros to the province of Teruel to finance projects of works and services of general and social interest linked to the promotion of agricultural employment.
The approved distribution includes actions in 14 municipalities of the province, which will receive grants for a joint amount of 192,188.61 euros. Among them is Alcañiz, with a proposed aid of 23,337.09 euros, while the rest of the beneficiary municipalities add up to 168,851.52 euros.
The localities that met the necessary requirements and whose projects have been chosen for financing are Albalate del Arzobispo, Aguaviva, Villel, Beceite, Báguena, Peñarroya de Tastavins, Alloza, Sarrión, Calaceite, Orihuela del Tremedal, Puertomingalvo, Mosqueruela and Albentosa, as well as Alcañiz.
The selection is made among the municipalities that meet the criteria established in the program, among them having unemployment in the agricultural sector in the 12 months before the call. Likewise, the program gives the option of hiring one or more unemployed employees in the agricultural sector for periods of up to 6 months.
The Special Employment Plan allocates funds from the annual budgets of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) to finance the salary costs, including the business contribution to the Social Security, of unemployed persons hired to develop projects of works or services proposed by municipalities and other local entities.
These actions are intended to contribute to the development and maintenance of the rural environment, through works of general and social interest, and are preferably carried out in periods not coinciding with the agricultural campaigns, being able to develop the works in the remainder of 2026 and 2027.
