Zaragoza.- The public employees who are part of ‘La Administración Cerca de Ti’ (LACT) in Aragón have traveled hundreds of kilometers so far this year to bring the services of the State closer to where they are needed. Since the beginning of 2026, they have visited more than 50 Aragonese municipalities and have carried out 1,750 expeditions of electronic certifications and Cl@ve identifications, two of the services most demanded by the citizens.
The program temporarily transfers the attention of the General Administration of the State to municipalities that do not have State offices, thus avoiding displacements and facilitating the neighbors to carry out procedures and access public services.
The officials mainly move to facilities provided by the municipalities, but The usefulness of the service for certain groups makes them also go to other locations or headquarters Such as educational centres, cultural spaces, old people’s homes, small business associations, agricultural cooperatives or entities linked to the care and support of migrants. This is the case of the ‘Free Nicaragua’ Association in Zaragoza. This morning, half a hundred citizens linked to the entity have been attended at the Joaquín Roncal center. The majority, to process the digital certificate.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán, has visited the center to thank the workers of the Delegation for their work. “It is a service of proximity that demonstrates the commitment of this Government with the citizenship and with the reality of the territory. It helps people who do not know or are not so in touch with the functioning of our administration and also those who live in rural areas and it is not so easy or accessible to go to their provincial capital to carry out these procedures. That’s why we are a proactive and close administration, we leave public buildings to get closer to people and their needs.”, he said.
LACT is a service of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory in charge of the Government Delegations and Subdelegations. This initiative was born in 2022 with the aim of bringing the services of the General State Administration (AGE) closer to the citizens residing in municipalities that do not have physical headquarters. At present, it offers information and procedures from the State Public Employment Service, the National Social Security Institute, the General Treasury of Social Security and the General Directorate of Traffic.
