Huesca.- The subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, José Carlos Campo, visited on Tuesday the works that the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility executes on the A-22 road as it passes through the municipal terms of Binéfar and Monzón. This action, with an investment of one million euros (VAT included), aims to repair the damage caused in the firm by the storms recorded between December 2025 and February 2026.
The subdelegate valued this intervention as “a sign of the commitment of the Government of Spain with the extension of the useful life of the infrastructures and with the security of the users”. In relation to this stretch between Monzón and Binéfar, which extends to the provincial limit, Campo has pointed out that “the Cinca Medio and La Litera need to have all their roads ready to structure the mobility between the localities and maintain the thriving economic activity reflected in the export data”. These works are scheduled to be completed on Friday, June 26.
In total, in the province of Huesca, the emergency works to repair the damage caused last winter will involve an investment of 5 million euros for 82 km. In addition to the A-22, action has been taken on the A-2 (Fraga), N-330 (Sabiñánigo), N-240 (Puente la Reina de Jaca) and N-230 and N-260 (La Ribagorza and Sobrarbe).
