Teruel.- The Subdelegation of the Government in Teruel has developed a new training day aimed at the personnel of different agencies of the General Administration of the State with the aim of strengthening the network of Violeta Points existing in the province and continuing to make progress in raising awareness and preventing violence against women.
On this occasion, a total of 18 people have participated in the training, given in mixed mode, combining face-to-face assistance and telematic connection. The activity has made it possible to incorporate new bodies into the Violeta Points network and to renew the participation of others already attached to this initiative.
The participating agencies have been the Foreigners and Registration areas of the Government Subdelegation in Teruel, Penitentiary Institutions, the Paradores Network and the General Mutuality of Civil Servants of the State (MUFACE), all belonging to the General Administration of the State.
The Violeta Point is an instrument promoted by the Ministry of Equality to involve the whole of society in the fight against male violence and to spread, in a massive way, the information necessary to know how to act in a case of violence against women. This initiative seeks to turn spaces of attention to the public and workplaces into safe places capable of offering a first orientation to the victims and their environment.
The training was given by the head of the Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Subdelegation in Teruel, Belén Fuerte, who transferred to the participants knowledge on the identification of possible situations of gender violence, the public resources available to the victims and the basic guidelines of action and accompaniment.
With this new incorporation and renewal of accessions, the network of Violeta Points linked to the General Administration of the State in the province continues to expand, strengthening the institutional response capacity and contributing to the fact that more and more spaces are identified as safe places to receive information, guidance and support.
The Violeta Points have specific information material and a QR code that allows immediate access to resources and guidelines for action in situations of male violence, facilitating both detection and access to existing assistance and protection services.
The deputy delegate of the Government in Teruel, Enrique Gómez, thanked the participants and the affiliated agencies for their involvement and commitment, stressing the importance of continuing to expand this network of institutional collaboration to make progress in eradicating violence against women and improving care for victims in all areas of the Administration.
