Huesca.- A talk and two workshops on how to protect adolescents and young people from the dangers of the Internet close this week the cycle ‘Connecting as a family: responsible use of the Internet and social networks in young people and adolescents’.
Promoted by the Subdelegation of the Government in Huesca through its Unit of Violence against Women, the cycle has developed throughout the month of February and has reached dozens of families who have attended the talks either in person - in the Villahermosa Palace, headquarters of the Ibercaja Foundation - or through the internet.
The talk and workshops that close this series of activities around a key topic in our days as the relationship of young people and adolescents with the digital world will be taught by Mario Martínez Correas, from the Cybertutor Foundation. This organization is dedicated to helping parents easily implement effective technological measures to block access to inappropriate content on the internet and social networks.
The three activities will focus on teaching parents practical and effective tools for parental control and digital home security. We will talk about modern tools such as children’s cloud accounts or Family Link, a solution that many parents still do not know about, but which offers great potential for control and digital security.

The general objective of the entire cycle of talks - which falls within the framework of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Educational Centers and their Environments - has been to raise awareness among families about the importance of responsible and safe use of the Internet and social networks in young people and adolescents and to help protect minors from the dangers of the Internet and access to inappropriate content.
