Alcorisa.- More than 40 teachers from the nursery and primary schools in the Alcorisa area have met the "Pioneers" project, in the framework of a training day aimed at Training Coordinators. The "Pioneers" project, promoted jointly by the Provincial Council of Teruel and the Subdelegation of the Government of Spain, is developed in close collaboration with the educational centers of the province, where through a calendar and a didactic guide, gender stereotypes are reflected from the early ages, reinforcing the role of the teaching staff as a key agent in education in values.
During the day, the teachers and teachers were able to learn in depth the objectives, contents and resources of "Pioneers", a co-educational project aimed at children's and primary education centers throughout the province of Teruel, which has been consolidated as a reference initiative in the educational field. The teacher Ester López Lázaro was in charge of presenting the didactic guide that accompanies the calendar, a material designed as a pedagogical tool to work in the classroom on gender equality, the prevention of violence against women and the visibility of women referents throughout history and in different professional, scientific, cultural and social fields. Along with her was the head of the Unit of Violence against Women in the Subdelegation of the Government in Teruel, Belén Fuerte.
In addition, the project has an itinerant exhibition, which includes the contents of the five editions of "Pioneers", and which can be requested by schools and other entities through the register of the Provincial Council of Teruel. This exhibition complements the work in the classroom and allows to bring the project closer to different municipalities of the province, expanding its scope and its educational and social impact.
For her part, the head of the Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Subdelegation explained the origin of this co-educational initiative with the aim of sensitizing the educational community and advancing the prevention of violence against women from the educational field. In his speech, he stressed the importance of institutional collaboration and continuous work with the centers so that this type of projects have a real and sustained impact over time.
Likewise, Belén Fuerte thanked the work of the technical-artistic team responsible for the development of "Pioneers", which this year reaches its fifth edition, consolidating itself as a creative and educational proposal that combines design, pedagogical contents and social commitment. As a novelty in this edition, the artistic team has created an email account, pioneerasproyecto@gmail.com, with the aim of receiving a return from the educational centers. Through this channel, the teachers will be able to share experiences, didactic proposals, initiatives developed in the classroom, photographs and other materials, favoring the exchange of good practices and the collective construction of the project.
