Huesca.- Almost half a hundred agents of the Security Forces and Corps of the province of Huesca participated this morning in a training day on the new forms of violence against women in the digital environment.
The training day has also been opened to various social agents such as staff of NGOs, trade unions, social services, penitentiary institutions Zuera Penitentiary Centre and the Aragonese Health Service.
The training day, given by experts from the social action platform Diaconía and organized by the Violence against Women Unit of the Government Subdelegation in Huesca, was inaugurated by the Government Subdelegate José Carlos Campo and took place at the headquarters of the subdelegation.
Throughout it, the experts of Diaconía have addressed issues such as the means and tools used to exercise violence against women in the digital environment; the relationship between that violence, pornography, certain types of virtual communities and algorithms; or how digital violence sometimes becomes the gateway to the trafficking and sexual exploitation of human beings, mostly women.
The training has not only focused on the diagnosis of the situation, but has also provided clues and opened a debate on possible action strategies. In this regard, it has placed special emphasis on raising awareness and awareness among society in general and, above all, among adolescents in the classroom.
