Castejón de Sos.- The delegate of the Government in Aragón, Fernando Beltrán, and the subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, held on Tuesday a meeting with the Region of Ribagorza and with mayors and mayors of the area affected by the landslide a slope of the N-260 in the municipality of Bisaurri (Huesca). The objective of this meeting has been to communicate the effects foreseen by the emergency works for the replacement of the pontoon over the Urmella ravine, as well as the possible solutions to guarantee the circulation of neighbors and neighbors.
Beltrán has held talks with the Ministry of Defense to request the collaboration of the Land Army in the search for an alternative passage over the Urmella ravine, on the N-260. To that end, the Pontoneros Regiment moved a unit last Wednesday, January 28, to recognize the land and study the feasibility of laying a provisional bridge to ensure communications in the region. After this first inspection, we work on a more detailed technical study to advance in this option.
The construction of a temporary pontoon, with capacity for vehicles of up to 20 tons, would guarantee the circulation to and from Castejón de Sos, a sanitary and educational reference town, during the emergency works soon to be undertaken by the Ministry of Transport, which require the complete replacement of the existing track board.
The Government of Spain, at the Council of Ministers on October 15, declared the emergency of the structural rehabilitation works of the pontoon on the Urmella ravine, N-260 kilometric point 383+150, in the municipality of Bisaurri, in the amount of 453,421.66 euros.
The aim is to remedy the situation of serious danger that exists after the sinking of part of the road platform last spring. Previously, the Ministry of Transport had carried out survey work with the extraction of witnesses, as well as geotechnical tests of dynamic penetration in different points of the N-260 road, between the towns of Bisaurri and Castejón de Sos.
The subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, has been in contact during the last weeks with the mayors of the area, once it has been established the technical need to carry out a total cut of the road for the replacement of the current bridge by a new one, an operation that will require strengthening the land adjoining with pivots.
