Graus.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has reopened the N-123A bridge over the Barasona reservoir, in the municipality of Graus, after completing the renovation work of the structure, with an investment of 1.68 million euros. The subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, visited this section to check the result of some works that, he said, “strengthen for the future an important bridge both for the mobility of the neighbors and the numerous tourists who visit the area.”
The bridge passed its last condition on Thursday, May 29, after successfully passing the load test on the structure, after which it has opened up traffic normally. The deputy delegate congratulated himself because, despite the complexity of the work, which required the replacement of the beams, “the bridge has been opened at the gates of the tourist season in the Barasona reservoir”.
Campo also recalled that the performance of this infrastructure is in addition to the one completed a few months ago by Transportes on the N-260 between Campo and the Congosto de Ventamillo, with 90 million investment, which he said “demonstrates the commitment of the Government of Spain to the roads of Ribagorza”.
The works on the bridge have consisted in the demolition of the current board and replacement of it with a new one of double ‘T’ prestressed beams, minor repairs of damages to the stirrups, walls of accompaniment and pile, execution of new containment systems, waterproofing of the board and slabs, actions of improvement of the drainage with the execution of new imbornals and milling and agglomeration works, as well as the signaling of the necessary deviations.
