Alcañiz, May 29, 2025. The Security Board today approved the Special Traffic and Security Plan for the Aragon GoPro Grand Prix, which will be held in MotorLand from June 6 to 8.
The special device, which will be activated from Thursday, June 5, will have a special reinforcement of the Civil Guard that will deploy 1200 agents of Judicial Police, Citizen Security, Traffic Group, GRS, GEAS, TEDAX, Cinological Service, Cavalry Squadron, SEPRONA, Air Service or Transmission Group among others. During the days of celebration of the Grand Prix, the Civil Guard will increase the controls of alcohol and drugs in the accesses to the circuit, as well as the identification works of vehicles and people. The device incorporates several National Police units that will carry out documentation control tasks.
In addition, during the weekend of the Grand Prix, the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) will deploy two helicopters with the capacity to record and send live images of the accesses to the circuit.
The State Highway Unit will mark alternative signage that will serve as a guide for drivers. The Traffic Plan has all the information related to access to the circuit, volume of circulation and recommendations for users.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) participates in this device offering from Thursday detailed forecasts of atmospheric phenomena that may affect the development of the prize. For its part, the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation will maintain the surveillance of the Guadalope waterways and the environment of the Alcañiz Waterway with a guard team.
PECULIARITIES OF THIS EDITION
This year, as a result of the humanization works of the Alcañiz crossings and the works in the center of the city, there will be significant changes that can affect the mobility of the fans who go to the MotorLand circuit from the municipality, leaving the street of the Muro Santiago (the cork) with a single lane in the upward direction. Free shuttles will be available on the circuit, taking fans from one point of the ring to another, in addition to the shuttle buses between Alcañiz and MotorLand Aragón.
Another of the novelties is the installation of an area enabled to park motorhomes called ‘Camp Experience’ located in an interior area of the circuit in front of the track, as well as new proposals for the ‘FanZone’ as a wheel.
The General Administration of the State asks the fans for patience, understanding and cooperation with the agents before the controls that must be undertaken to safeguard the security of the attendees in an event of global impact.
