Albalate de Cinca.- The subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, has held a meeting, at the request of this group, with the citizen platform Carretera Albalate-Splús A-1239. With the help of its representatives, Campo has checked the state of this regional road that links the Cinca Medio, the Bajo Cinca and La Litera, an area with a high mobility both for agricultural and livestock activity and for access to the various services offered by Binéfar.
The subdelegate has heard the demands of the platform, which calls for an integral action on a track through which they calculate about 1,000 vehicles a day, of which about 200 are heavy. Campo has expressed his concern that “the poor state of this road poses a potential risk to road safety and hinders the access of the residents of these localities to the infrastructures of the State, such as the Huesca–Lleida motorway and the train line to Zaragoza”. For all these reasons, he has pointed out that this would have to be a “priority” action to guarantee a smooth circulation, in accordance with the important social and economic activity that underpins this route.
The deputy delegate recalled that, since 2018, the Government of Spain has made an investment of more than 1.7 billion euros on the roads of the State in Aragon, in many cases giving new impetus to projects that were at a standstill, such as the different sections of motorways. For Campo, “that effort to improve the infrastructure of the province of Huesca has to be shared by all the competent administrations.”
