FORM AND REPOSITION
This project, which will be deployed in other areas of just transition in the country, is promoted by the ITJ, is financed through Component 10 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and joins other training and requalification initiatives carried out by the ITJ in areas affected by the cessation of activity of coal mining and thermal power plants.
The training and requalification courses offered allow people to train and enter the workforce in constantly evolving productive environments - as is the case in the areas affected by the energy transition - providing them with opportunities for professional retraining and updating skills to promote their access to new employment in the growing sectors related to the clean energy transition such as renewable energies, energy efficiency or green infrastructures.
The project aims to train and re-employ at least 200 people across the country’s transition zones. The program has a duration of 24 months and LHH, as the company in charge of the execution of the activities, will be operating in the territories until the end of August 2025.
The program, which will pay special attention to the participation of women, includes a relocation service that will be offered to all people who meet the profile, based on offers from the green economy sector throughout the national territory.
