The María de Huerva Security Board, chaired by the Government’s subdelegate in Zaragoza, Noelia Herrero, has today ratified its accession to the protocol of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) for collaboration and coordination between the State Security Forces and the Local Police for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence. This is the second step in the incorporation of the municipality into the Viogén System after the initial request of its municipal plenary to join it.
The definitive incorporation into the Viogén System will mean the establishment of a protocol of action that will be developed jointly by the Civil Guard and the Local Police of María de Huerva and will allow the integration of municipal agents in the work of monitoring cases of violence against women. At the moment the VioGén agreement in Aragón is closed with the municipalities of Tarazona, Calatayud, Pinseque, Pedrola, Utebo, Cuarte, Zuera, Caspe, La Almunia, Tauste, Huesca, Binéfar, Barbastro, Fraga, Jaca and Alcañiz.
The deputy delegate highlighted the joint work already being carried out by the City of María de Huerva and the Local Police on the protection of victims, as well as the proximity work of the Civil Guard in the control, prevention and follow-up of active cases within the system.
