The Subdelegation of the Government in Huesca held an institutional meeting this morning with the objective of coordinating the labor incorporation of migrants. Representatives of CEOE Cepyme, of various social entities of the province and of institutions such as the City of Huesca and the Government of Aragón (INAEM) have participated in a meeting in which the Office of Foreigners of the Subdelegation and the SEPE (Public Service of State Employment) have detailed the possibilities that in terms of employment offers the reform of the Regulation of Foreigners.
The reform of the Regulation on Foreigners, approved in July 2022, includes amendments that aim to favor the incorporation into the labor market of people who are in Spain, strengthen the channels of regular migration and improve the management system. Among other points, it includes measures to facilitate the stay and work of foreign students, update the figures of social and labor roots or facilitate the entry of entrepreneurs.
The meeting has made it possible to share the coverage needs of certain professions in the province of Huesca, detected by CEOE Cepyme, with the potentialities of migrants who could join the labor market, exposed by social entities.
The third sector entities that participated in this meeting were Red Cross, Accem, CEPAIM Barbastro, Caritas, YMCA and Apip-Acam.
For the subdelegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, this meeting “has been very productive, since we have established a channel of communication between the entrepreneurs, who are those who have the need to cover specific positions, and the entities of the third sector, the best knowledgeable of the labor potential offered by their users”.
“We are responding to a demand for professionals, but also generating opportunities in the social field, giving the option that foreign people and refugees, in some cases with high training in their countries of origin, can find jobs according to their preparation,” added Campo.
Working line
The meeting held today follows the line of work begun last March with the institutional visit to the City of Huesca of the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá. As a result of that visit, a working day was organized on April 18 at CEOE Cepyme with the Director General of Migration of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Santiago Yerga, and the Deputy Director General of the General Subdirectorate of Immigration, Teresa Udaondo. Also in this regard, on May 11, a meeting was held at CEOE Cepyme with the General Secretary of Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education, Clara Sanz.
