Aragonese exports represent, according to data for the month of February, 1,429.9 million euros, which implies a growth of 5.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, and an increase of 7.6% compared to the month of January. The report, prepared by the Territorial Directorate of Trade-ICEX in Aragon of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, with data provided by the Customs Department of the AEAT, also shows that the total imports of the community amount to 1,682 million euros, amounting to 41.7% compared to the previous year and 47% intermonthly.
However, the commercial balance in this period has a deficit of 252 million euros with a coverage rate of 85%. According to the figures, Aragonese exports accounted for 4.4% of total Spanish exports in the month of February 2023.
The main sectors that contributed to the growth of exports in Aragon came from the automotive, food, beverages and tobacco sector, capital goods and durable consumer goods. The sectors that contributed negatively were the consumer manufacturing sector, chemical products, non-chemical semi-manufactures and raw materials. In terms of imports, the sectors that contributed positively were mainly the automobile, food, beverages and tobacco sectors and durable consumer goods. The largest negative contributions were from the consumer manufacturing, chemicals, non-chemical semi-manufactures and raw materials sectors.
The European Union remains the main destination for Aragonese exports, accounting for 70.3% of the total, increasing by 18.4% compared to the previous year. Of the main partners, the increases in sales to Germany (37.1%), Italy (20.1%) and France (10.7%) stand out. Exports to third countries account for 29.7% of the total, decreasing to all regions. Among other countries, there were positive increases in Argentina (83.9%), Indonesia (38.5%) and Singapore (36.5%).

Aragonese exports reach 2,759 million euros (7.1% increase compared to the same period of the previous year). Imports reached 2,825.8 million euros with an increase of 29.6%. As a result, the commercial balance in this period has a deficit of 66.8 million euros. The coverage rate stands at 97.6%. The export activity of Aragon represents 4.3% of the total domestic sales abroad.

Exports to third countries accounted for 30.2%, with increases to Argentina (155.1%), Singapore (54.7%) and Morocco (29.3%) among others.
