The Official State Gazette (BOE) today publishes the agreement reached at the Sectoral Conference of the System of Qualifications and Vocational Training for Employment, by which Andalusia receives 136,716,433.72 euros for the training of workers, employees and unemployed in the community aimed at responding to the needs of the market and improving competitiveness. For the whole of Spain the distribution of state funds reaches 867.3 million euros (867.284.490M€), which means an increase of almost 21 million compared to the previous year.
These funds, which are to be developed from September 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024, commit the autonomous communities to develop training actions aimed at meeting the needs of the labor market in relation to actions linked to the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications and creditable in the terms provided in Organic Law 5/2002, of June 19, on Qualifications and Professional Training.
Therefore, all training actions whose main content is linked to this National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications will be subsidized in at least 75% of the training hours, although they may include up to a maximum of 25% of the hours of other modules or training contents.
Within the agreed distribution criteria, it has been ensured that no autonomous community reduces its credits in absolute terms compared to the previous year, in order to guarantee the continuity of the training actions initiated in previous years and whose maintenance or expansion is considered appropriate.
All the objectives agreed in this Sectoral Conference have been discussed previously with the different CCAA, the social partners, within the framework of the Social Dialogue Table for the FP, in the State School Council and in the General Commission of Vocational Training.
FP for Employment
The Vocational Training for Employment system in the workplace aims to promote and carry out training that contributes to the personal and professional development of working people (employed and unemployed), improving their employability and their promotion at work. This training responds to the needs of the labour market and is aimed at improving business competitiveness.
It also includes various training initiatives and programmes carried out within the framework of the National Employment System, through the State Public Employment Service and the Public Employment Services of the Autonomous Communities.
