The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma), as published today by the State Contracting Platform, has formalized the service contract for the drafting of the “Informative study of the railway connection between the station of Santa Justa and the airport of Seville”, awarded to the UTE: ARDANUY, S.A. – GEOCONTROL, S.A., for the amount of 642,042.06 euros (VAT included), and an execution period of 24 months.
This fulfills the Ministry’s commitment to the development of infrastructure in Andalusia and the announcement of the minister, Raquel Sánchez, on her recent visit to Seville.
The purpose of the informative study is the choice of the optimal alternative for a new rail passenger connection between Santa Justa Station and Seville Airport.
To this end, a sufficient number of routing alternatives will be analyzed, with the degree of definition and precision according to this type of studies, which will subsequently be compared under technical, economic, environmental and exploitation considerations.
It is also planned that the document will be submitted to the procedures provided for in the sectoral legislation and the environmental assessment legislation, until the approval of the public information file and, with it, the final approval of the informative study.
