The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has listed for 2.1 million euros (VAT included) the works of correction of the noise levels existing between kilometers 13 and 13.5 of the A-6 motorway, as it passes through the environment of the neighborhood of Aravaca, in the municipality of Madrid. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
This action, which will be carried out on the right side of the motorway, aims to improve protection against traffic noise in residential areas close to the motorway, in a residential urban environment in which acoustic screens are already installed discontinuously.
To this end, the project envisages the installation and adaptation of the existing acoustic screens, taking into account the characteristics of the environment, the topography and the available space next to the motorway. In this way, it seeks to improve the protection against noise generated by traffic in this section of the A-6.
This performance is framed in the Action Plans against Noise which the Ministry is developing in the State Road Network.
