The main novelty of this positive initiative for the city is that the theoretical-practical training phase will be developed for the 25 officials (13 women and 12 men) in the Prison Establishment of Fuerte Mendizábal, as a Head Office, something that has never happened before, with a duration of two and a half months, including a parenthesis of eleven days in which they will travel to Cuenca, headquarters of the Prison Studies Center, where they will receive training in the transmission of values and quality standards of the Public Prison Service and in which the Director of Fuerte Menábal will participate, one more year.
Once the 25 officials have returned to Ceuta, after those eleven days of stay in Cuenca, and in the case of overcoming the first training phase, they will go to the improvement phase, which will also be carried out in the Penitentiary Center of our city.
These trainees would stay in Ceuta enriching the staff of the Penitentiary Center, for a period that can range, approximately, between 18 and 24 months.
The teaching staff responsible for the training have, for the most part, been selected from the very staff of the prison, which is very experienced.
On the other hand, as a result of the work and efforts carried out over the past year, the List of Jobs (R.P.T.) The staff of the Ceuta Penitentiary Center has been increased by 30 newly created places, waiting for another 30 places to be approved in 2023 (which would make a total of 60 places).
And to this are added the 12 posts that were previously vacant in the R.P.T. of civil servants who will be offered for coverage in the imminent Transfer Contest, as well as the aforementioned arrival of 25 civil servants in internships, as well as the granting of contracts within the framework of the First Professional Experience Program in the Public Administrations and the convening of certain positions of labor personnel.
In short, considering the various efforts that have been made in the field of Human Resources and those that are pending, there could be an increase in the number of staff that would range from 20-25% of direct staff, based on the figures from the beginning of 2020.
