The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility works with the autonomous communities on a new concessional road passenger transport map that represents significant improvements in travel times on the routes that pass through Asturias.

The reordering of the map is the result of the analysis of the routes as designed now. In the cases of stops where a low number of users have been detected, it is proposed that they be served from the autonomous area, since internal mobility within territorial limits is autonomous competence.
According to data from the ministry, in Asturias nine stops had less than one interregional passenger per day in 2019. In other words, the traffic from these stops is provided by the transport network of the Government of the Principality.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility will make 40 million euros available to the autonomous communities, 25 of them in direct subsidies, to take on the traffics of their competence and which are currently being provided through long-distance state concessions.
