The Special Plan for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment in Zaragoza for this 2023 will have a budget of 533,542.42 euros, 5% more than the previous edition, which will allow an increase in the number of recruitments. This Tuesday, the Provincial Follow-up Commission met in the Government Delegation in Aragón with the presence of the subdelegate Fernando Beltrán, and with representation from the SEPE, INAEM, the Aragonese Federation of Municipalities, Comarcas and Provinces, the provincial deputation and economic and social agents.
The Special Employment Plan for Aragon allocates credits, from the annual budgets of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE), to finance the salary costs, including the business contribution, of unemployed workers, preferably agricultural contingents, hired by municipalities and counties to carry out works and services of general and social interest. As for the typology of the projects, these are reforestation works, fire prevention (an increasingly urgent need), improvement or creation of green areas and sanitation of waterways and banks, among others.
The meeting took stock of the Special Employment Plan for the year 2022 in the province of Zaragoza. Since the period ends next month, 28 projects have been carried out, or are being finalized, which have allowed the hiring of 75 people (66 men and 9 women) for an average period of four months and 18 days with a budget of 508,135.63 euros. The project has reached 25 municipalities and three counties, increasing even the duration of employment that was established in the call for 2020.
The money allocated in 2022 to this program throughout Aragon has been 1,031,747.48 euros, of which 338,722.70 correspond to the province of Huesca; 184,889.15 to that of Teruel and 508,135.63 to Zaragoza. As for workers, there are 75 beneficiaries in the province of Zaragoza, 41 in the province of Huesca and 26 in Teruel. Regarding projects, in the province of Zaragoza 28 are being developed, another 23 in the province of Huesca, and 15 in the province of Teruel.
The meetings of the provincial follow-up commissions will now be followed up, the calls will be published in the provincial bulletins, the applications will be studied and a list of them will be made, and the files will then be approved and communicated. The last step will be to communicate the resolutions to municipalities and counties so that they can start hiring in the month of October or November.
