Pension scheme for maimed war civilians and other provisions
1. Causants
The beneficiaries are Spaniards who meet the following conditions:
- To have suffered injuries as a direct or indirect consequence of war actions that occurred in Spain between July 18, 1936 and April 1, 1939.
- Suffer a physical or psychological decrease of at least 26% (according to the assessment table of Decree 670/1976).
- Do not belong to the Corps of Knights Mutilated of War by the Homeland.
To benefit from the rights of Law 6/1982, injuries must reach a degree of incapacity of at least 45 points, according to the assessment table in force in Law 35/1980, of June 26.
2. Beneficiaries
- Decree 670/1976: Only the causative.
- Law 6/1982: The deceased, his or her widowed spouse, ex-spouse or domestic partner, and, failing that, orphans under the age of 21 (or older if they are unable to work before reaching that age or before the deceased’s death).
3. Amount of pensions
- Decree 670/1976:
The mutilation pension is calculated by applying a percentage to the annual amount of a regulatory base.
- Regulatory base in 2023: 7.199.33 € per year (593.27 €/month).
- Amounts according to the degree of disability:

- Law 6/1982:
- For the perpetrators:
- Pension of mutilation: According to Decree 670/1976.
- Basic remuneration: Since 1991, 100% of the basic remuneration fixed annually in the Laws of General Budgets of the State. In 2023: 11.217.90 € per year (934.82 €/month).
- In favor of relatives: Since 1996, the pensions are equivalent to the minimum Social Security widow's pension for people over 65 years of age, set at 2023 at 783.10 €/month.
