The Delegate of the Government in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, visited this week a new day of the program ‘The Administration near you’, developed at the Melilla Campus of the University of Granada with students of Business Administration and Law of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences, where she has valued the importance of bringing the services of the General Administration of the State to people, especially those who have more difficulties accessing digital procedures.
During his speech, he explained to the students the essential functions and services of the Government Delegation, resolved doubts and highlighted the practical nature of these days, which allow procedures to be carried out directly and guided by specialized personnel.
Moh recalled that “since we came to the Government of Spain and, specifically, to this Government Delegation, one of the objectives we have set ourselves has been to bring the General Administration of the State closer to the citizens”, and stressed that it wants to “continue working and continue to bring the Administration closer to the people of Melilla, not only through the different meetings or appointments that can be offered from the different services”.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in the city highlighted the good reception of the initiative in the educational field and its usefulness for the students, who "values that the Administration comes to their centers, explains how public services work and provides them with procedures that they will need in their professional and personal life".
The Delegate also pointed out that the objective is to continue expanding this project and take it to more neighborhoods, social entities and spaces where citizens can benefit from direct and accessible attention.

These actions include obtaining the digital certificate to access applications such as My Citizen Folder, RedSARA or MiDGT, managing the Social Security number, certificates of sexual crimes, consultations on working life or procedures related to the SEPE, such as stamping unemployment or managing benefits.
The program, coordinated by the Registration Assistance Office with Damián Llamas at the head, has already traveled to the Temporary Stay Center for Immigrants, to the Red Cross —in two days aimed at vulnerable groups— and to the University Campus itself, where work has been done with students of Law and Business Administration and Management of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences.
The Government Delegate insisted that the spirit of the program is clear: bringing the Administration closer to where the people are. The aim is not only to facilitate the execution of procedures, but also to reinforce the orientation, information and understanding of the operation of the different services of the General Administration of the State. Therefore, the Delegation is already working to add new days and new spaces to ensure that citizens, regardless of their situation or location, can easily and easily access the public resources that correspond to them.
Moh concluded his visit by reiterating that these actions are “a sign of the Delegation’s commitment to closer, more useful and more accessible public management”, and said that it will continue to “reinforce this path so that no one in Melilla is left behind”.
