The Government Delegation in Melilla has been filled again today with the Christmas spirit thanks to the work of Aspanies Full Inclusion Melilla, which for the seventh consecutive year has been in charge of decorating the interior of the institutional headquarters. This year, in addition, the traditional day has been integrated into the new project of collaboration with the CIFP Reina Victoria Eugenia, announced last October, to build a more inclusive, creative and participatory Christmas.
From the first hour of the morning, the users of Aspanies, accompanied by their monitors and monitors, have dedicated their work to place ornaments made by themselves in previous workshops: garlands, stars, Christmas figures, handmade cards and the already traditional hall tree. Offices, corridors and common areas have been transformed with materials created by hand with rubber/eva, fabrics, foam and decorated cardboard.
As a novelty this 2025, the day also counted on the participation of the students of Bakery and Pastry of the CIFP Reina Victoria Eugenia, who has been in charge of preparing the breakfast offered to the participants. This contribution is in addition to the previous work carried out by other training cycles of the center (Electricity and Image and Sound) that have designed and assembled the new exterior lighting of the Delegation and the musical atmosphere of the event, and whose result can be observed from this afternoon with the act of lighting lights, scheduled at 19:30 h outside the institutional headquarters.
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, thanked the work of the two entities, highlighting that this activity constitutes “one of the most beautiful and expected traditions of the year”. He praised “the predisposition, affection, enthusiasm and joy that each of them put in order to fill these rooms with Christmas”, and stressed the fully inclusive nature of the joint project.
“This year we wanted to take another step: to unite the creative talent of Aspanies with the practical learning of the students of Vocational Training, promoting a Christmas made among all, from education, awareness and participation,” he said.
This morning they accompanied the activity, which ended with the traditional breakfast, villancicos and the delivery of commemorative diplomas to the participants. In total, between 40 and 50 young people from both entities have worked together to make possible a Christmas that, once again, combines inclusion, learning and coexistence.
