30 Civil Guard troops have been integrated in Melilla to reinforce the Command staff. In particular, there are 6 noncommissioned officers and 24 guards who, for the most part, are going to be assigned to the Prosecutor and Border Unit.
The Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh, together with Lieutenant Colonel Arturo Ortega and Commander Slim Lahabib, have received the agents in the Government Delegation, in a presentation ceremony that has served to welcome them to the city.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has thanked them for coming to Melilla to strengthen their security and has highlighted the important reinforcement that these troops represent.
In addition, Moh, has pointed out that he knows first-hand the work done by the professionals of the State Security Forces and Corps in our city. “I know your dedication, your vocation of service to the citizens, and therefore I always thank you for your work,” he said.
The head of the Delegation has highlighted the coordination and collaboration that exists between the Civil Guard, the National Police and the Local Police, and has predicted many successes in this new phase that they begin in our city.
Moh also referred to the affection, appreciation and admiration that the Melillense citizens have for the women and men of the Civil Guard and assured them that Melilla is a good destination both from a professional and personal point of view, since our city “invites to be at ease” and has many attractions, ranging from the beauty of its corners, its gastronomy, interculturality, the friendliness of its people…
The Lieutenant Colonel and Head of the Civil Guard Command, for his part, explained the tasks and competences of the Civil Guard in Melilla and stressed the teamwork, help and collaboration that exists both within the Benemérita and with the other security forces in the city and he has been convinced that for the new troops that integrate in Melilla it will be a good experience and will be full of successes.
