Yesterday, Mr Imserso presented the diplomas of the vocational and occupational training courses of the European Social Fund for people with disabilities.
The Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh; the Territorial Director of the Imserso, Verónica Aznar; the Provincial Director of Education and Professional Training (MEyFP), Juan Ángel Berbel; and the Director of the Base Center, Teresa Rizo, were in charge of delivering the diplomas that recognized the training given.
A training that has allowed students to obtain the corresponding Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate of Professionalism according to the activity, by accreditation of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training, through its Provincial Directorate Melilla, and that has helped 12 people to have joined the labor market, 4 of them through the Employment Plan of the Government Delegation and 8 in ordinary companies of the labor market.
A total of 70 students have participated in the training, of which 37 students received full accreditation of their professional certification and 10 partial accreditation.
The highest representative of the Government of the Nation in our city, who has congratulated all the students and thanked Imserso and the MEyFP and the team of trainers for their work, has shown her desire that the acquired knowledge will serve to take another step to all the students in their incorporation into the labor market.
Moh has stressed the coordination of the different institutions and the need to put in place mechanisms so that people with disabilities do not encounter obstacles to entering the labor market. “You are going to have this Government Delegate, to continue working in this regard, to be able to put at your disposal the necessary tools to eliminate obstacles, go beyond these barriers, and increase the number of people who find work,” he said.
The Delegate has encouraged those present to continue with the necessary training “so that you have equal opportunities when joining a job”. “In the end, we are going to achieve an inclusive Melillense society, which is why we have to work, to eliminate these obstacles and that we can access the labor market,” he stressed.
Engagement and commitment
The Territorial Director of Imserso, for her part, highlighted this program that “was born with the purpose of improving accessibility for people with disabilities, promoting integration in employment, education and training”.
Aznar has stressed that the “real protagonists” are the students who have participated in the specialized formations. For this reason, he congratulated them “for the great work done, for your involvement and commitment”. “You have shown yourself to have the strength to persevere and thereby be able to open up a universe of precious possibilities,” he said.
It has also highlighted those who have been accredited with the diploma for completing the training. “You are a reference that with work, attitude and perseverance, dreams are created and you are cementing a very beautiful one,” he said.
Aznar has also praised the families for the role they have played throughout the process, so he has extended his congratulations to them.
Finally, the great professionalism and good work of all the professionals who make up the project, in reference to teachers, teaching centers, social worker, administration… “to all the team of the Base Center and the Territorial Direction, thank you for being the fundamental support for the whole gear to work”.
Accreditation of competencies
The Provincial Director of Education, in his speech, acknowledged the effort made by the people who have carried out the training, but stressed that this effort has its prize that serves for their job insertion.
In fact, he recalled that, since 2020, when the new Vocational Training Law was published, “everything that you accumulate throughout your life will serve you” thanks to the partial accreditation of competences.
“I always encourage all people, regardless of their age, their family burdens, each at the pace they can, to always have an interest in training,” he said, given that in addition to the boost it can bring from a work point of view, “there is always the urge to have achieved it thanks to effort.”
Berbel has also had words of thanks to the monitors who “have been training, guiding and advising you and who have been there, involved in your training process” and to the entities “that you turn to train people”.
Training for work
With a cost of 167,437 euros, this Program falls within the framework of Occupational Vocational Training, and its purpose is to provide students with professional knowledge in relation to the possibilities of access to the job market within the context of Vocational Recovery.
They are planned and implemented taking into account the skills of the applicants, social context and labour market situation and have an eminently practical approach and are based on the importance of training for entry into the labour market.
The training activities have varied, depending on the course, between 290 and 470 training hours and the courses have been of Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers, Operations of Recording and Treatment of Data and Documents, Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Areas and Basic Operations of Restaurant Bar.
