The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, highlighted the advances in the security sector to promote equality between men and women, which were achieved with the promotion of the feminist policies of the Government. Also the Civil Guard, which since 2021 has increased its number of women to raise it in two points nationwide. “They are motivated steps because there is a government that believes that equality is the way and that knows that although the way is long, we have to take firm steps,” said María Rivas to respect.
These advances are “the result of reflection and analysis, something that promotes conferences such as the one organized today, which marks the future of gender equality in this sector thanks to the work of this association and the Observatory ‘Women and Security’”.
On this entity, María Rivas highlighted her courage and transformative spirit, which acts and improves reality through data, with proposals and above all with a feminist perspective. The deputy delegate encouraged the members of the sector not to lower their arms and continue fighting for effective equality.
