The Subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today made an institutional visit to the municipalities of Corcubión, Muxía and Vimianzo, where she held several meetings with her mayors and mayors as well as members of municipal corporations.
During the visit to the town councils of Corcubión, the subdelegate together with the Mayor, Francisco Xabier Domínguez, approached the Quenxe promenade to supervise the repair works of the walls of the promenade and also the affectation of the edge due to the last storms; a small action that is being developed by Demarcación de Costas and that will reinforce the structure and improve the appearance of the promenade.
Subsequently, the Government’s deputy delegate went to the town hall of Muxía, where together with its mayor, Iago Toba, they paid a visit to the beach of La Cruz, where work is being carried out on conditioning the access to the beach to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, and whose work is starting today, with the aim that these access points are in the best conditions for this summer.
Finally, María Rivas visited the town hall of Vimianzo, where with the help of her mayor, Mónica Rodríguez Ordoñez, she wanted to know the project to extend the pedestrian traffic from the place of Puente de Oporto to the parish of Cereixo and thus give more route to the path that connects this town hall with the neighbor Camariñas.
The deputy delegate of the Government pointed out the need to support the municipalities, especially the smaller ones, since “with these specific actions but which are so important for the municipalities since they represent a significant improvement in their small coastal infrastructures, especially for municipalities where tourism is so important”.
Rivas also pointed out that “in this way the Government can accompany the municipalities in the improvement of their services and infrastructures to stop the loss of population and to guarantee their inhabitants a future with the same opportunities for all.”
