The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, traveled to Santiago de Compostela to participate in the inauguration of the Annual Assembly of the Unified Police Union (SUP), convened to analyze the current rights and commitments of the National Police in Galicia.

He also appreciated the work done by National Police officers every day on the street: “It is not an easy task to offer the best attention to the citizens, to the one million two hundred thousand Galicians and Galicians who live in the 3,600 square kilometers of the cities and towns of Galicia”. He assures that “this work and dedication makes it possible for Galicia to be one of the safest communities in Spain, the third with the lowest crime rate and the highest rate of case resolution”.
From the Delegation and the Subdelegation of the Government, María Rivas showed an “unwavering commitment” to three key areas of security for Galician society: the fight against gender violence and cybercrime, and the protection of the free exercise of the rights and freedoms of the people, since “only from security can we be free and only with security can we achieve the social welfare and progress we desire”.
During her speech, the underdelegate had a memory of the people honored at this year’s meeting. He ended his speech with a wish, the success of the assembly since, from his point of view, “it will be good for the National Police and therefore for the citizens.”
