The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas visited this morning the offices of Tragsa in Culleredo to supervise, together with the provincial manager, Pedro Álvarez, and the territorial manager of Tragsatec, Fernando Ron, the technical advisory program aimed at municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants that the Government promotes to dynamize and support their participation in the calls for the Recovery Plan. The rest of the team that carries out this work in the province was also present at this working meeting.
María Rivas highlighted the importance of this advisory work aimed at municipalities with less population and, therefore, those that have fewer resources and more difficulties to manage these funds. For the Government’s deputy delegate, the work carried out by Tragsa in these smaller municipalities “is a fundamental tool for local entities to have greater capacity and more knowledge to get the most out of the recovery funds, prioritizing objectives and adapting to the specific circumstances and needs of each municipality.”
María Rivas also stressed the importance of all municipalities being well advised and informed to “make the most of all the calls”. “The objective is that every cent of these funds reach every corner of the province and all the citizens,” added the deputy delegate. Since March 15, Tragsa has offered this technical assistance service through its subsidiary Tragsatec. To be able to access this assistance, the entities must voluntarily adhere to the program of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function.
Tragsa is in charge of helping the affiliated entities throughout the process, from the calls to the resolution, with special emphasis on the management of the CoFFEE platform, an integrated information system in which the managers appointed by each administration, after training, report on the progress of the projects. It will also ensure compliance with the code of good practice and the management obligations of the Recovery Plan.
So far, 14 municipalities in the province have joined this program, which is aimed mainly at municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, but which is also open to others with a larger population. Bergondo, Cabana de Bergantiños, Cabanas, A Capela, Corcubión, Curtis, Fisterra, Frades, Lousame, Moeche, Porto do Son, Sobrado, Tordoia, Vilarmaior are the municipalities that have already signed the accession protocol.
