Isabel Rodríguez encourages local entities of the province to join the Government program to receive advice in the management and execution of funds of the Recovery Plan
The Government’s Deputy Delegate in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today encouraged local entities in the province to join the Government’s program to speed up and facilitate the access of municipalities to the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and guarantee, in this way, its correct management and execution. Isabel Rodríguez held a meeting in the Subdelegation on Thursday with the manager of the public company Tragsa in the province, Manuel Escariz; and with the coordinator of the plan in Lugo, Javier Otero, to supervise the development of this service that the Ministry of Finance and Public Function promotes through Tragsatec, a public subsidiary.
The subdelegate highlighted the impact of this state project in the province, where the Recovery Plan is promoting more than 2,500 actions in the 67 municipalities of Lugo. In this regard, he stressed the importance of this initiative to maximize these funds and deploy investments effectively throughout the territory.
So far, 16 local entities have subscribed to this program, mainly targeting towns with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, but the other administrations are also open, as is the case of the deputations. Specifically, the municipalities adhered to the plan are Antas de Ulla, Bóveda, Lourenzá, Negueira de Muñiz, A Pobra do Brollón, Rábade, Riotorto, Ribas de Sil, Sober, Xove, Palas de Rei, Portomarín, Cervo, Abadín, A Pontenova and Pol.
Technical advice
Tragsa has been offering this technical assistance service, through its subsidiary Tragsatec, since March 15. To be able to access this assistance, the entities must voluntarily join the program, directed from the General Secretariat of European Budgets of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, without its accession implying additional duties to those already included in the regulations governing all the entities executing the PRTR. Tragsa, for its part, is responsible for helping the affiliated entities throughout the process, from the calls to the resolution, with special emphasis on the management of the CoFFEE platform, an integrated information system in which the managers appointed by each administration - after training - report on the progress of the projects. It will also ensure compliance with the code of good practice and the management duties of the Recovery Plan.
The procedures offered by this service are complementary to those already developed by the Subdelegation and the Government Delegation in the different municipalities. For this, the public company has a central assistance team, another at the regional level and an antenna team in each of the four provinces. At this time, Tragsa is finalizing the formation of these teams, which will begin to operate immediately.
