The government delegate in Cantabria, Pedro Casares, has highlighted the legacy that the already brigadier general of the Civil Guard, Antonio Orantos, leaves in the Cantabrian Command after three and a half years as head of it.
Casares praised this after attending this Friday in the Parliament of Cantabria, together with the Secretary of State for Security, Aina Calvo, the act of imposition of the fajín of brigadier general to Orantos that will now assume the command of the Civil Guard of Aragón.
The government delegate has reiterated his congratulations to Orantos for his promotion and has thanked him for the services provided in the autonomous community, where he promoted the creation of the ROCA team responsible for preventing and resolving robberies in rural areas, the implementation of the Responsible Leisure Plan or the implementation of the Foreign Tourist Service (SATE) in Noja.
He has also valued his work to install in Cantabria the first virtual access point to the Civil Guard, through a totem located outside the City of Cartes; the impulse of the Office of Attention to the Citizen in Reinosa; or the organization of the event of October 12 for the first time outside the quartering of the body in Campogiro, which was held in 2022 in Santillana del Mar.
“I would like to offer you my most sincere congratulations, to wish you many successes in this new stage and to thank you for all the work and dedication shown during these years in the service of Cantabria and Spain,” said Casares.
The delegate considered that the promotion of Orantos is a “deserved recognition of a trajectory marked by commitment, dedication and public service”, values of which he has demonstrated in Cantabria where he has worked “jointly and closely” with the Government Delegation to “reinforce” the citizen security of the region.
