This second agreement incorporates more than 70 roads, key interventions such as the Cogote Mountain viewpoint, a children’s playground in Los Campitos, the square and neighborhood headquarters of Todoque, facilities linked to the GR-130 trail, the facilities of Callejón de La Gata and the new football field of La Laguna.
The State establishes that the Government of Spain finances 50% of the cost of reconstruction works of municipal ownership, even allowing its improvement. The City Council, cannot reach the remaining 50%, an agreement is reached with the Cabildo de La Palma and the Government of the Canary Islands so that each one contributes 25%, guaranteeing the execution of 100% of the planned actions.
The mayor, Javier Llamas and collaboration by the Government of Spain of the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo Triana, defend that the reconstruction “is a living process”, which is updated as the infrastructures damaged by the eruption recover
