The Government, through the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, announced this Thursday, during his speech at the General Assembly of the Chemical Industry Business Federation (FEIQUE), the approval of two industrial proposals in Navarre worth 2,437,560 euros, within the framework of line B of the Strategic Project of the Connected Electric Vehicle (PERTE VEC II).
In total, Hereu has announced the approval of nine proposals for a favourable provisional resolution, worth 21.84 million euros between loans and grants, aimed at projects linked to the industrial value chain of electric vehicles.
In the case of Navarre, these are the companies benefiting from the funds of PERTE VEC II:
· NTDD New Digital Diesel Technology (2,28M€).
· Lizarte SA (157.560€ euros).
The rest of the applications come from Tekinatest Solutions (1.79M€); Rieju SA (12.74M€); Mol Matric SCCL (491.105€); Masats SA (1.86M€); Pomceg Electronics (287.557 euros); Next Mobility Solutions (1.44 M€); and Facilities and Montages of the Ebro Alegre Melero (778.479 euros).
In addition, the final resolutions have been updated. Sidenor’s allegations, which are proposed to him for EUR 3.87 million, have been accepted. Borgwarner’s claims, which are granted EUR 22.15 million, have also been accepted.
The objective of this line is to promote investment plans for the industrial value chain of the electric and connected vehicle, its systems, subsystems and components, as well as certain auxiliary infrastructure systems necessary for its deployment.
Chemical industry
For the Minister of Industry and Tourism, chemical companies are called to play a relevant role in the transition to a green and digital economy. Having a strong industrial fabric is one of the priorities of the government’s agenda, as well as ensuring a competitive energy price.
To this end, the minister recalled the budgetary effort he is making to help the big industry, such as chemistry. Examples such as Fertiberia, which has received more than 63 million euros, or Solvay, with more than 30 million euros of the decarbonization PERTE.
In total, the industrial EITPs have already benefited 46 projects of industries linked to the chemical sector with a total of about 160 million euros.
