The Road Aid Association, the DYA, has joined the network of “Violeta Points” of the Foral Community after the signing, this morning, of the protocol signed by the delegate of the Government in Navarra, Alicia Echeverría, and the president of the association, Peio Jiménez.
In this way, both institutions will collaborate in the dissemination of awareness campaigns against violence against women, distributing the graphic material in the activities carried out by DYA Navarra and exhibiting this material in the attention points of the association, both permanent and temporary. In this way, it will contribute to the awareness of the population about the problem of violence against women.
Likewise, DYA Navarra will offer women victims of violence who require it basic information on the different specialized resources made available to them.
For its part, the Government Delegation will provide the graphic material and will be responsible for the basic training of the staff of DYA Navarra in the prevention of violence against women. This training will soon be given by the director of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation and by members of the State Security Forces and Corps competent in this field.
With the signing of the protocol, DYA is integrated into a network of which the Government Delegation, the State Public Employment Service, the offices of the State Tax Administration Agency, pharmacies and the offices and points of the Youth Information Services Network of the Navarre Youth Institute are already part of the Foral Community. In addition, some municipalities install points during their patron saint’s parties.
A “Violet Point” is an instrument promoted by the Ministry of Equality to involve the whole of society in the fight against gender violence and male violence. A sticker identifies these points as safe spaces for victims, where they can receive information and accompaniment if they need it. In turn, it includes a QR code linked to an informative guide.
