The Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, allocates 570,269 euros to Navarre for extraordinary aid to compensate for the situation due to the drought and the conditions arising from the war in Ukraine, which will benefit 501 producers of fruit and nuts in this community.
This aid is framed in the total of 77,930,396 euros that will benefit 68,741 producers. The Ministry has published today a resolution with a list of 4,081 beneficiaries of farms benefiting, in the amount of 7,609,157 euros, which complement the aid granted in the resolution of December 2023. The aid will be entered into farmers’ current accounts before the end of January.
This aid was established by Royal Decree-Law 4/2023 of 11 May, which adopts urgent measures in agricultural and water matters in response to the drought and the aggravation of the conditions of the primary sector resulting from the war in Ukraine and the weather conditions, as well as promoting the use of public land transport by young people and preventing work risks in episodes of high temperatures. Its development took place through Order APA/871/2023, of July 20.
The aid package has a budget of 81,082,911 million euros from the agricultural crisis reserve that the European Commission allocated to Spain and established in Regulation (EU) 2023/1465 of 14 July 2023.
With the first decision to grant aid, published on December 15, 64,660 farmers benefited, with a total amount of more than 70 million euros. If these figures are added to those of the concession of this new package, the aid is distributed among 68,741 farmers and reaches 77.93 million euros, which is equivalent to 96.1% of the total budget.
The latter list includes holders of agricultural holdings who, in the concession resolution dated December 15, 2023, were not aware of their tax or social security obligations, but who have done so within a fixed period of one month from the publication of the resolution.
It also includes the holders of agricultural holdings who presented complex claims to the first provisional resolution, dated November 2, after its analysis and study by the autonomous communities.
As these amounts are granted according to the area determined following the controls of the direct aid of the campaign of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023, fruit growers who are awaiting the completion of these controls by their autonomous community may receive them later if they are admissible.
In addition, this last resolution includes fruit and nut producers who, after appearing in the publication of the complementary provisional resolution of 21 December, are aware of their tax and social security obligations, as well as those who, after having submitted claims, after their study, comply with the requirements and are aware of those obligations. Those holders for whom it has been verified that they are not aware of their tax obligations or with Social Security, have a maximum period of one month from the publication of this resolution to remedy their situation.
The list of farmers who will receive this aid, together with the number of hectares of fruit and nuts computed and the amount of the aid to be received, can be found on the bulletin board of the EAGGF electronic headquarters.
