The Navarre International Vaccination Center, located at the headquarters of the Government Delegation, served 4,284 travelers last year and received a total of 4,089 calls. The figures prior to the COVID-19 pandemic have not yet been recovered, since in 2019 there were 7,326 people served and 5,932 calls received.
With regard to the figures for 2022, the International Vaccination Center administered 1,872 vaccines and recommended another 6,798, as well as 1,710 antimalarial prophylaxis. The most widely administered vaccines were those of yellow fever and polio, in addition to those of the vaccination schedule that were outdated.
In 2019, 2,349 vaccines were administered and another 11,114 were recommended, as well as 2,291 prophylaxis against malaria.
The main destination countries of the people who last year passed through the International Vaccination Center were Peru, the combined Tanzania - Kenya, Colombia and Ecuador.
The Center for International Vaccination (CVI) recommends that citizens plan sufficiently in advance the vaccines necessary to travel to certain countries. Therefore, they advise to anticipate consultations and appointments whenever possible since, when the summer months arrive, the demand multiplies.
As explained by the CVI, the ideal is to request the appointment sufficiently in advance to be able to be attended in consultation, at least one month before the trip. In addition, it is advisable that, prior to the consultation, the vaccination schedule is updated and a record of it is provided, where appropriate, which will be provided by the user's health center.
The prior appointment is requested electronically, through the following link: Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare (mscbs.gob.es). For any questions, you can call the phone 948 979 310.
