- Approximately one hundred troops of the different X of Civil Guard have been deployed in the area
- It is estimated that about one thousand six hundred cars are still inside the enclosure
- “Anyone who leaves the premises, either by car or on foot, will not be able to return”
January 3, 2023. Faced with the recent events resulting from the illegal macroparty in Fuente Alamo, the Government Delegation has organized a meeting to analyze how the device deployed in the old Fuente Alamo speed circuit evolves. The meeting chaired by the delegate of the Government, Mariola Guevara, was attended by the Acting Lieutenant Colonel of the 5th Zone of the Civil Guard of Murcia; the Mayor of Fuente Álamo, Juana María Martínez García; and the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police of Fuente Álamo, Francisco Javier Martínez Sánchez.
The rave settled during the early hours of Saturday to Sunday, from 30 to 31 December and, when the Government Delegation was alerted to the situation that same night, a security operation was activated that has the participation of approximately 100 Civil Guard troops and the full collaboration of the Fuente Alamo Local Police, who work together to resolve the situation.
On the part of the Civil Guard, a measure of non-return has been implemented that prevents access again to those who have left the premises. According to the information provided by the Security Forces and Corps, it is reported that 2,123 vehicles entered during the first day, and they have now left approximately five hundred, with a figure of 1,500-1,600 vehicles still in the compound.
Mariola Guevara emphasizes that “anyone who leaves the premises, either by car or on foot, will not be able to return”. However, it reports the low mobility of attendees since most of them have enough provisions and do not need to travel to resupply themselves.
On the other hand, road safety is a priority, “what worries us most is that there are people behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs, therefore, to ensure road safety, rigorous measures have been taken” explains Guevara.
So far, 28 complaints have been registered for drug testing and 3 complaints for other causes by members of the trafficking specialty in their controls. In addition, numerous sanctions have been imposed at the level of citizen security, including 38 sanctions for drug possession and a denunciation of the Road Safety Law. A citizen of Brazilian nationality has been arrested for drug trafficking, seizing 90 doses of LSD cardboard and 4.1 grams of liquid LSD. A stolen vehicle has also been identified in Granada inside the compound.
In the current circumstances, the Civil Guard discourages the intervention and eviction of the premises since security could not be guaranteed due to the high volume of vehicles and current occupants of the premises and the state in which they are located.
The lieutenant colonel explains that, “in case of continuing the party last weekend and based on the number of people and vehicles that remain in the premises, the intervention of the Civil Guard will be assessed to carry out a controlled eviction under the current regulations.”
