The CEIP Encarna León hosted yesterday afternoon an informative meeting with the families of the children of the CEIP Real, relocated this school year in that center while the works of removal of the fiber cement cover are carried out.
The meeting was attended by the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, the Provincial Director of Education, Elena Fernández Treviño, the Head of Studies of the Real CEIP, Rafael Nieto, and the Director of the CEIP Encarna León, Adriana Marcos. The objective of the meeting was to resolve the doubts of parents and to make them known, together with the teachers of their children, the units in which they will study during this academic year.
The Government Delegate has pointed out that the main interest of the relocation was to transfer security and tranquility to families: “The solution we worked on was the relocation of students to a better center, so that they are in the most optimal conditions possible.” He also stressed that the transfer will be for a course, so the forecast is that the schoolchildren will return to the Real CEIP in the course 2026-2027.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in the city has valued the usefulness of this type of meetings, in which “we listen and we are a nearby Administration”. Thus, he explained that in the meeting fathers and mothers made “all their demands and all their concerns from the proximity to the citizens and from listening, which is what we really want to do”.
Sabrina Moh wanted to thank both educational centers, as well as the teaching teams, parents for the collaborative work carried out during these months and the willingness shown to carry out this transfer. He also took the opportunity to congratulate families and teachers on the new course, while informing them of the planned actions and the willingness of the Government Delegation to attend any consultation.
For her part, the Provincial Director of Education has advanced that the works of removal of the fiber cement cover will begin in 2026, with a view to completing the work before the return of the minors to their reference center.
Fernández Treviño stressed that the priority of the Ministry is the removal of the fiber cement roof, but pointed out that the CEIP Real is a building with many years of age and that “a deeper work must be undertaken”. In this regard, he noted that the Ministry will study future global actions on infrastructure.
“The first and priority is to remove that roof of fiber cement, but also Cultura has on the table to act on the building in global,” he explained.
In order to guarantee the attendance of the CEIP Encarna León, the Autonomous City has arranged a transport service that collects every morning the students in the CEIP Real and transfers them to their destination center, thus facilitating the organization of families during the transition course.
