The Delegate of the Government in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, has announced that today the first contracts corresponding to the second Employment Plan of the Delegation of the Government 2025 have been formalized, thus starting the hiring foreseen in this program, as was advanced a few weeks ago.
On this first day, the contracts made correspond exclusively to the occupation of Technicians in Safety and Health at Work (PRL), within the progressive schedule of incorporation foreseen in the framework of this second Employment Plan.
Sabrina Moh has clarified that this program does not correspond to the Employment Plan of 2026, but is the second Employment Plan of the year 2025, whose execution will be prolonged throughout 2026 due to the duration of the contracts, which is six months.
“It is important to clarify that we are not talking about next year’s plans, but about a 2025 plan that develops over time and extends over the next year,” he explained. Thus, he has made it clear that another call for employment plans will come out in 2026.
The Delegate recalled that this second Employment Plan provides for the hiring of more than a thousand people (including occupations for senior graduates) – which add to the almost 1,300 of the first plan – within a strategy that allows the strengthening of public services in the city. “It’s not just figures. They are opportunities, they are reinforced public services for Melilla and a key tool to improve employability,” he said.
The head of the Government Delegation also highlighted the budgetary effort that the Government of Spain is making in Melilla in terms of active employment policies, with a global investment of 31 million euros. Of this amount, 13 million correspond to the first Employment Plan of the Government Delegation, another 13 million to the second Employment Plan of the Delegation, and 5 million to the Employment Plan of the Autonomous City of Melilla.
“We talk about a real and sustained commitment, aimed at improving employability, strengthening public services and paying special attention to the most vulnerable groups, with the aim of generating opportunities and moving towards a fairer Melilla with more future”, he said.
Finally, the Government Delegate has reiterated that the objective of these plans is “to continue supporting the people who need it most, strengthen public services and move forward in a Melilla with more opportunities and more future”.
