The Commander of the Civil Guard of Melilla held this morning the presentation of 13 new troops who are joining their destinations in the city.
The event was chaired by the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the Colonel Chief of the Command, Jesus Rueda, and the Lieutenant Colonel, Arturo Ortega, who welcomed the group formed by a sergeant and twelve civil guards, including a woman, who will join the different operational units of the Armed Institute in Melilla.
During her speech, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in the city thanked the new additions for their commitment and their vocation of public service. “As Delegate of the Government, I have discovered the true vocation of service and how you live your profession,” she said, stressing the importance of the work carried out by the professionals of the Civil Guard in the Melilla.
The head of the delegation also highlighted the close coordination that exists between the Civil Guard, the National Police and the Local Police, a cooperation “key to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.”
Finally, Moh has sent them a personal welcome message, convinced that “they are going to be very comfortable in Melilla, a welcoming city, close and with a huge affection for the security forces”.
