The auditorium of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Melilla hosted yesterday afternoon the welcoming ceremony for the new officials of the Ministry of Education, Professional Training and Sports (MEFPyD), who begin the internship phase corresponding to their entry into the teaching bodies of Education Inspectors, Teachers and Secondary Education Teachers.
The event was attended by the Provincial Director of Education, Elena Fernández Treviño; the Chief of Educational Inspection, Manuel Blanco; and the Head of the Educational Programs Unit, Mª Victoria Menchacatorre.
During his speech, Fernández Treviño welcomed the new officials and stressed the importance of teaching commitment and the public education service.
“Public education is the engine that transforms society, and you are an essential part of that change,” said the Provincial Director. “Your job is not just to teach content, but to inspire, accompany and build citizenship from school. I encourage you to live this stage with enthusiasm, responsibility and a vocation for service.”
For his part, the Chief of the Inspection, Manuel Blanco, explained the details of the internship period, which will last six months, and set out the calendar of actions and evaluations planned.
During this phase, the new officials will have tutoring and monitoring, in addition to participating in specific training activities aimed at consolidating their professional competences.
The Head of the Educational Programs Unit, Mª Victoria Menchacatorre, presented the main programs and training plans promoted by the Provincial Directorate, highlighting the relevance of network work and continuous training as fundamental axes for the improvement of the educational system.
The meeting ended with a consultation session in which attendees were able to resolve doubts about the development of the internship phase and administrative procedures.
“We are proud to have new professionals committed to public education. Melilla is a diverse city, with a unique cultural richness, and I am convinced that your experience here will be both enriching and transforming,” concluded Fernández Treviño.
