The Delegate of the Government in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, together with the Superior Chief of Police, José Antonio Togores, and the Regional Chief of Operations, José Ángel Sanz, has welcomed the first 22 members of the National Police who join the Superior Headquarters of Melilla through the General Merit Competition.
Of these 22 new personnel, 2 sub-inspectors, 2 police officers and 18 police officers are included, of whom 5 are women. In addition, within the framework of the same process, another 19 national police officers will join the Melillense squad on July 28, once their service in their current destinations ceases. In total, 41 agents will join after this call, which will mean an important reinforcement for security and police services in the city.
The Government Delegate stressed the importance of these new additions, which “reflect the commitment of the Government of Spain to citizen security and the constant improvement of the human resources of the State Security Forces and Corps.” Moh stressed that “these additions not only strengthen the workforce, but also contribute to improving the attention, responsiveness and quality of service provided to citizens.”
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in the city has wished the best of luck to the new troops and “all the successes”, while “from the joint success we all nourish ourselves, and from their professionalism all the Melillense citizens benefit”.
Likewise, the head of the Government Delegation wanted to highlight the “coordination and collaboration” that exists in the city between National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police, an identity sign that, he has assured, the new agents will be able to verify since their arrival.
For his part, the Superior Chief of Police, José Antonio Togores, has welcomed the new members of the Melilla squad and has assured that “for Melilla it is a luxury” to have the experience and experience of this contingent.
Thus, he encouraged them to take advantage of this opportunity to “join the Leadership and contribute to the joint work that characterizes police work in Melilla”. In addition, he reminded them that they are part of “a great institution that is a reference throughout the country and that has the respect and trust of the citizens”.
With these new additions, the Superior Police Headquarters of Melilla continues to strengthen its personnel, thus guaranteeing greater operational capacity and better service to citizens.
