“New contracts are being signed between today and tomorrow,” the Government Delegate announced, referring to the current state of the Plan that began to be implemented in the first quarter of the year. Sabrina Moh, today reported on the progress in the implementation of the first Employment Plan of the Government Delegation, endowed with 13 million euros for about 1,300 people.
The Delegate has announced that the final list of 18 occupations and some 470 jobs will be published at the end of this week, following the publication of the provisional list last week. “We estimate that I can leave either at the end of this week, Friday, or at the very latest, at the beginning of next week,” he said.
With the publication of this last resolution, progress continues to be made to complete the total number of places planned for this first Employment Plan. The head of the Government Delegation explained that the usual process of readjustment and coverage of vacancies in those posts that have remained unfilled will be followed.
In this regard, the Delegate has indicated that “there are already certain occupations in which we are having difficulty finding registered job seekers”, such as caregivers for people with disabilities, among others. “We will have to do an analysis of what those positions are that could not be filled and see how we can do it,” he concluded.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city recalled that this year two Employment Plans are going to be carried out, with a global investment of 26 million euros and that they will involve more than 2,300 jobs. To all this, he pointed out, we must add the other 5 million euros that the Government of the nation has made available to the local Executive for the realization of another Employment Plan.
“Since the Government of Spain, employment, especially employment in Melilla, is one of our main priorities,” he stressed. “We want to continue to promote and make available to the people of Melilla tools that will help us alleviate the unemployment situation, and we are working on that path,” he concluded.
