“We are working to reorganize the rotations with Almería without affecting any service or causing any collateral damage.” The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has reported that they have transferred to the Ministry of Transport the proposal for the reorganization of rotations with Almería on weekends and that they are waiting for the response of the ministerial agency.
As announced, the Delegation has sent to the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy a report of usefulness of social interest for these lines, which includes the requests of the Platform of People Affected by the Transport of Almería. Once that response is received, he said, they will call on the Platform to report on the “steps to be taken”.
The Delegate explained that, within the maritime contract, three rotations with Almería and three rotations with Motril are shielded. In this sense, he has clarified that the extension of the rotations, which are those contemplated in the maritime contract, is not contemplated.
Another thing, he explained, is that shipowners want to establish reinforcements in times of greater demand, expanding rotations in specific periods of greater influx of passengers, “but in which there is not so much demand, it will be at the discretion of the shipowner herself, always complying with the provisions of the maritime contract.”
Thus, the entity that directs Moh is working to resolve the reorganization of the rotations with Almería on weekends, without having any detriment in the issue of supply, and without any service being affected or any collateral damage being caused, in order that everything is guaranteed.
