The Maritime Captaincy of Melilla, of the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy, has published on the website of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility a resolution approving the rules for the use of ships, recreational boats and nautical devices, understood as such all kinds of floating elements that are used to develop sports and leisure activities at sea.
This resolution summarizes the regulations in force to provide users with a clearer and more comprehensive knowledge of the measures that must be adopted to guarantee maritime safety and coexistence in a maritime space where economic activities converge with leisure, sport and fun activities.
The contents of the resolution include the need for vessels and artifacts to be registered as appropriate, to have civil liability insurance and the obligation for those who manage them to have the necessary qualification, if required.
The objective of this document is, in short, to guarantee maritime safety and the sustainability of our seas, especially in view of the summer months, and to encourage users to respect regulatory standards at all times, not forgetting also the observance of respect for other people and common sense.
