The Imserso has delivered the diplomas of the Vocational Occupational Training courses of the European Social Fund for people with disabilities, in a closing ceremony of the same, which took place this Friday at the Base Center, and in which 70 students have been trained.
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh; the Territorial Director of the Imserso, Verónica Aznar; the Head of the Coordination Unit of the Educational Orientation of the Provincial Directorate of Education (UCOE), Sunil Gulabrai, and the Director of the Base Center, Teresa Rizo, have been the people in charge of delivering the diplomas that recognize the training given.
The programme, funded by the European Social Fund for People with Disabilities, has involved an investment of 177,162 euros and has involved 25,885 teaching hours. This initiative, which is planned and implemented taking into account the skills of applicants, social context and labour market situation, has an eminently practical approach and is based on the importance of training for entry into the labour market. In fact, 10 of these students have incorporated the world of work, through the Employment Plans of the Delegation.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city, has stressed that the act of awarding diplomas is nothing more than a brooch to a whole process of work and effort “that today has its reward in the form of this certification”.
Moh has valued the work of all the people who, year after year, make it possible for this program to be developed, which falls within the Occupational Vocational Training and which aims to provide students with knowledge for their access to the job market.
In fact, it has highlighted the incorporation into the world of work of 10 people thanks to the Employment Plans, as a means of acquiring work experience and improving employability and has hoped that in the coming years it will continue on this path for the improvement of the employment insertion of this students.
Constancy, attitude and work
The Provincial Director of the Imserso, for her part, has congratulated the students for their involvement and commitment. “Fear is the greatest disability of all and you have shown yourself to have the strength to persevere and, with it, to be able to open up a universe of possibilities,” he said.
Aznar, who has influenced the example of these students, has asserted that for his perseverance, attitude and work “you are a reference”, although he has also had words of thanks for the families of the students, to whom he has extended his congratulations.
In her speech, Verónica Aznar thanked and valued the great professionalism and skill of all the people who make up the project in reference to the teachers, teaching centers, social workers, occupational monitors, administration staff… as well as the team of the Base Center, the training centers and the Provincial Directorate of Education.
The program has been composed of a total of 7 training activities -Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers; Operations of Recording and Processing of Data and Documents; Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Areas; Basic Operations of Restaurant Bar; Basic Operations of Accommodation Floors; Auxiliary Operations of Administrative Services; and Auxiliary Services of Aesthetics- plus a common Work Orientation module for all students.
All these activities have allowed students to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism accredited by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD). A total of 20 students have obtained the full accreditation of their certification and 34, the partial accreditation.
Personal progress
The head of UCOE of the Provincial Directorate has conveyed the congratulations on behalf of the MEFPyD to the students and has recognized the work and the effort made.
Thus, he referred to the importance of training throughout life and from there, he apostilled, the need to recognize the people who, over time, continue to work to continue in their personal advancement and development.
Finally, the Director of the Base Center, Teresa Rizo, has advanced that, the next program, which will be developed this year 2024, will have a budget of more than 200,000 euros and will be directed, again to 70 students to whom 7 training activities will be offered and will provide training and job orientation.
