38.8% of the 1,416 contracts that were signed in Melilla last July were of an indefinite nature. A fact that the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has put in value because it shows that the labor reform approved by the Executive of Pedro Sánchez “has contributed to labor stability in our city and in the country as a whole.”
“The government’s goal has always been to create jobs that are stable and of quality. There is a lot of work to be done but we are on the right track,” he said, and recalled that, before the labor reform, indefinite contracts represented only 8% in our country.
“19 months after the entry into force of this reform, its positive effects on the stabilization of employment and the improvement of its quality are clearly demonstrated,” he said.
In addition, the highest representative of the Government of the Nation in our city has also highlighted the 25,450 Social Security affiliates that exist and that represent 1,867 more than last year. “The good affiliate figures both in Melilla and in the whole of Spain, with a new historical record, with 20.89 million people, demonstrate the strength of our economy and that the policies and measures that have been implemented by the Government are contributing to economic development and job creation,” he said.
In fact, according to the data released today by the Ministry of Labor, the number of unemployed in our city is 7,616, that is 2,712 unemployed less than with the previous PP Government.
For all of this, Moh has pointed out that the data show a very positive evolution in which not only is employment created, but the employment that is created is stable and of quality, and, therefore, the “commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez is to continue working in this same line to be able to achieve the objective of full employment”, the Delegate has advanced.
