The subdelegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, co-chaired today the extraordinary session of the Local Security Board of Valdilecha together with its mayor, José Javier López González, in which the coordination in security matters planned for the festivities in honor of its patron saint, the Virgen de la Oliva, which will start on August 28, has been addressed.
The session was attended by members of the government team and representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police and the Community of Madrid.
To contribute to a safe party, the City Council has included in the brochure of the program several recommendations to avoid risks during the enclosures of bravas, which will be held on 9, 10 and 11 September.
A municipal side has also been issued that prohibits, during the holidays, the sale, possession and use of any pyrotechnic material by individuals, such as firecrackers, rockets, “correpiés”, and any other type of pyrotechnic material.
One of the most traditional events is the “Transhumancia de Bueyes” which this year will have a new route that will culminate in the bullring, and which will require an added effort of organization and security.
Good security data
The Board has also made an assessment of citizen security in the municipality. Pilar Trinidad has described it as “very good”, since the data show a crime rate “far below” the average in the Community of Madrid.
